Looks like TWICE doesn’t need cheering up, because they came out on top of the pile for the month of May.
The group’s second single “Cheer Up” was the number one song on all of Korea’s major music charts, including Melon, Genie, Naver Music, Mnet, Olleh Music, Monkey 3, and Soribada.
Meanwhile, the music video for “Cheer Up” is just a few clicks away from surpassing 40 million views, an impressive count by any measure.
The group also came in second for having the most downloaded and streamed song of May, with their JYP senior Baek A Yeon taking the number one spot for most streams and downloads with “So-So.”
Only time will tell if TWICE can hang onto their chart-topping position for the month of June, but with some major comebacks in the pipeline it will certainly be a summer for the Kpop books.
