Popular girl group Girls’ Generation‘s unit group TaeTiSeo (Tiffany, Taeyeon, Seohyun)’s music video for their hit song “Twinkle” reached 50 million views on YouTube.
As of 10 a.m. on August 13, the “Twinkle” music video on SM Entertainment’s YouTube channel has 50,604,620 views. The video has 257,262 “Likes” and 101,541 comments.
These numbers have come 2 years and 3 months after the music video’s release on April 30, 2012; the number of hits is a record-breaking one for a K-pop unit group.
Trouble Maker (Hyuna, Hyunseung)’s first single, “Trouble Maker” (43,427,936 hits) and SISTAR19 (Hyorin, Bora)’s “Ma Boy” (36,505,185 hits) follow in second and third place for unit group music video views.
At the same time, TaeTiSeo’s new album is in the works, and is set to go on sale later this year. TaeTiSeo was formed in 2012, 5 years after Girl’s Generation’s debut, and released their debut album “Twinkle.” The title song of the same time was won them great popularity.
The music video for “Twinkle” has lavish musical-like scenes and quirky outfits and choreography, providing multifaceted visual entertainment. EXO members Chanyeol, Kai, Sehun, and Baekhyun‘s cameo appearance is also a point of interest.
TaeTiSeo’s mother group Girl’s Generation made public their 4th mini album “Mr.Mr.” last February and were active during its promotion period.
