SM Partners with UNICEF for Musical Education in Vietnam

SM Entertainment and UNICEF have partnered together on a three year deal to promote and support musical education for children in Vietnam.

On the 11th, SM Entertainment representatives met with UNICEF at the Hanoi office to discuss contributing to a deal that would provide three years of musical education for Vietnamese students in Hanoi, Da Nang, Kon Tum. The program will provide music classes, music teachers, and professional music equipment for 5000 children and their families, and SM hopes to eventually be able help even as many as 10,000 children through the course of this program.

A representative of SM Entertainment, Kim Youngmin, revealed, “We here at SM had been thinking hard of ways we could return all the love and support we have received from fans, so began this intiative as a way to help cultivate dreams and perpetuate culture.”

SM has worked alongside UNICEF many times, most recently including recording a campaign song for the #IMAGINE project and donating a portion of EXO’s EX’ACT album profits.

Also in attendence at the meeting were f(Luna) and NCT‘s Taeyong and Jaehyun.
