Kangin recently went to trial and pleaded guilty to drinking and driving, and now he’ll be paying a fine for the incident.
The DUI is the Super Junior member’s second; in 2009 he hit a parked taxi and fled the scene before turning himself into the police about 5 hours later with a BAC of 0.082%.
The most recent accident occurred in May when Kangin once again was involved in a hit-and-run, this time with a BAC of 0.05%.
As punishment for his second offense, Kangin is required to pay 7,000,000 KRW in fines, totaling to about $6,400 USD.
As per SM Entertainment, Kangin’s activities are on pause for an undetermined amount of time while he reflects on his actions.
