During the broadcast, Lay admitted that he worked very hard to get a track on EXO’s album, but due to a personal mistake, he didn’t have much to show SM founder Lee Soo Man.
Lay confessed to the cameras, “Because I didn’t take care of my USB, in the end I lost 99 tracks. At the time, I made 100 tracks thinking I would show them to Lee Soo Man. I wanted to ask him, ‘If I made this many tracks, can’t you just put one on the album?'”
A great plan on paper, but in real life it seems Lay left out one critical detail: the USB. The EXO member continued his story, saying, “After trying that hard, right as I was wondering if should complete those 100 tracks, I lost the USB. Since I couldn’t recover [the tracks] I was going to give up, but after starting again I made a lot of songs. There’s nothing but songs on my computer.”
Here’s to hoping that Lay takes good care of his USBs and computer moving forward so everyone can hear his self-composed songs.
In the meantime, EXO will be making their comeback with “EX’ACT” on June 9, so be sure to stick around MoonROK for updates.
