‘Happy Together’ to Air One-On-One Special with Seo Taiji and Yoo Jae Suk

Seo Taiji, the “President of Korean culture,” who is making his comeback this October, will make a guest appearance exclusively on the popular TV show “Happy Together,” hosted Korea’s favorite MC Yoo Jae Suk. Seo Taiji has confirmed that he will participate in recording ‘Happy Together’ at the beginning of next month.

Since this is the first time that he has done any official promotions since 2009, each broadcasting company has put a lot of effort towards casting Seo Taiji.

Broadcasting companies are eager to recruit Seo Taiji because this is his first album in quite some time, and since his last there have been some big changes in his personal life. Seo Taiji married actress Lee Eun Sung last June and their first daughter was born last August.

Among all TV show requests, Seo Taiji finally chose to make his big television appearance with Korea’s favorite MC Yoo Jae Suk. One entertainment representative said “Seo Taiji thought about  several TV show requests, but he leaned torwards ‘Happy Together’ after being offered the excellent condition upon which Yoo Jae Suk and Seo Taiji would meet alone.”

It is quite exceptional that ‘Happy Together’ would suggest a show with just Yoo Jae Suk and Seo Taiji, as the show’s original format is a group talk show with 4-5 guests. The reason for Seo Taiji’s final decision probably has to do with Yoo Jae Suk’s ability to make guest feel comfortable.

It seems that there will be no problem filming as the two have much in common, including the fact that they were both born in 1972, and that they are each the best on their own fields.

An entertainment representative stated, “The personal life of Seo Taiji is gathering a lot of people’s attention. A meeting between Seo Taiji and Yoo Jae Suk will be a big issue. It is obvious that people are curious about what they will talk about on the show.”

Meanwhile, Seo Taiji will hold his comeback performance ‘Christmalowin’ on October 18th at Jamsil Stadium before his album release. He will sing songs from his new album, as well as classics like ‘Hayeoga’, ‘Come Back Home’, ‘Classroom Idea’, and ‘To You’ in celebration of 22 years since his debut. The number of audience in attendance is projected to be overwhelming, and the concert is anticipated to be the best in every aspect.
