The Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony is known for its collaborative performances between Eastern and Western artists.
Past guests from the West include Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder, Ylvis, and more.
This year’s first collaboration performance has just been announced, and it’s an electro-pop match made in heaven: f(x) and Pet Shop Boys.
Kim Kiwoong, the director of MAMA 2015 just made a statement announcing collaboration, saying, “After researching which overseas artist would fit best with tech/art, we found Pet Shop Boys.”
Kim continued, “Pet Shop Boys recommended f(x) as a group that could give life to a pop sound. The two teams are creating a stage together.”
This is just the first of what are sure to be many announcements about special performances at MAMA 2015, so be sure to sit tight for more updates from moonROK!
