Former KARA Member Kang Jiyoung to Make Film Debut in Japan

It has just been reported that former KARA member Kang Jiyoung will be making her film debut in Japan.

Jiyoung will be acting in the movie “Assassination Classroom,” which is set to come out on March  21st, 2015.

The movie is about a bunch of middle school students who have to assassinate an octopus-like creature that teaches at the school.

The movie is based on a popular manhwa series that has sold over 11 million copies in Japan.

Jiyoung will transform into a sexy blond in order to play the part of the series’ most popular female character Irina Iyerabitchi.

Irina Iyerabitchi’s character is an assassin with a Serbian accent who is hired to kill the octopus creature, posing as a beautiful foreign language teacher in order to first seduce him.

Kang Jiyoung stated, “It’s a lot of pressure, but I’ve been studying the manhwa books in order to get closer to the character of the cool, sexy pro assassin.”

Again, the movie comes out in Japan on March 21st, 2015, so keep an eye out for it!
