Stage Name: Henry (헨리) Birth Name: Henry Lau, Liú Xiànhuá (刘宪华) Birthday: October 11, 1989 Hometown: Toronto, Canada Nationality: Chinese-Canadian Debut: April 8, 2008 Position: Vocalist Henry is a member of Super Junior-M as well as a solo artist signed under SM Entertainment. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Henry learned to play piano at the age of five and took up violin at six. He was recruited by SM Entertainment in 2006, and moved to Korea to begin his training. In October of 2007, SM Entertainment announced that Henry would be one of the members integrated into a Super Junior subunit to debut in China, dubbed Super Junior-M. The group debuted in China in April of 2008 with the Mandarin single "U." Super Junior-M saw relative success with the release, but it wasn't until the 2009 release of their single "Super Girl" that the group really blew up in China. The single and mini album earned the group commercial success and awards, and following its release Henry began accompanying Super Junior on tour. Super Junior-M came back in 2011 with the release of "Perfection," followed by "Breakdown" in 2013, and "Swing" in 2014. Apart from the group, Henry has made a name for himself as a solo artist. In May 2013, SM Entertainment announced that Henry would be their first male solo artist in 13 years. In June of that same year, Henry released his debut solo album "Trap" with a lead single of the same title. Following his solo promotions, Henry signed on to the cast of the popular Korean reality program Real Men, where he became a breakout variety star. Following his appearance on the show Henry experienced an immense amount of popularity, securing multiple endorsement deals in Korea and abroad. In 2015 Henry released his second EP "Fantastic," and today continues to make appearances on various Korean reality and variety programs.
