On July 27th, a representative from YG Entertainment revealed that producer Peejay will be joining Zion.T and KUSH as a part of their independent label The Black Label.
The name Peejay might sound unfamiliar to many, but his work does not. Peejay is the man behind various hit songs including Zion. T & Crush’s “Just,” BIGBANG’s “Café,” Beenzino’s “Dali, Van, Picasso,” Zico’s “I Am You, You Are Me,” and much more.
Peejay first debuted in the duo group Rhymebus as a singer/producer in 2007. It was through OnStyle Channel’s 2009 entertainment program “Sutasi” that Peejay’s producing talent was revealed and became widely known.
According to YG, The Black Label is working independently from the parent company, so they are unable to reveal any definite release plans at the moment.
However with Peejay on the roster, fans can surely expect high-quality music production in the near future from the label.
