Just now, reports are surfacing in the Korean media claiming that actress Han Yeri, Girls’ Generation member Sunny, former KARA member Seungyeon, and former T-ARA member Hwayoung would all be starring in a new JTBC drama, “Age of Youth” together.
JTBC has just clarified those reports, neither confirming or denying the possibility to the lineup. A representative from the broadcasting station told the Korean media just now, “It is true that Han Yeri, Sunny, Han Seungyeon, and Ryu Hwayoung are being considered for lead roles, but not one of them has been confirmed for the cast yet.”
The representative continued, “Nothing has been decided yet in regards to the cast of ‘Age of Youth.’ We are discussing and reviewing many actors [for parts].”
The statement doesn’t deny that Han Yeri, Sunny, Seungyeon, and Hwayoung are in the running for the lead parts in the drama, but it certainly doesn’t confirm that they have the parts.
Meanwhile, “Age of Youth” is a drama about five female college students living in a shared house together, and each episode will explore the different challenges and pleasures of youth, including dating, diet, sex, roommates, and more.
Five actresses will play lead roles (hence the casting reports that surfaced today), and the drama will begin airing in July.
Again, Han Yeri, Sunny, Seungyeon, and Hwayoung have not yet been confirmed for roles, but should any of your favorite Kpop stars land a lead, rest assured MoonROK will have all the details.
