Besides Kim Dongwan, the movie will also feature Choi Phillip, Shin Jihoon, and others. The movie is set to release next year.
This will be Kim Dongwan’s first movie appearance two years ago in ‘Deranged.’ A film worker revealed, “Kim Dongwan has a natural hunger for movies, and the skill to go with it. A short film will be a new challenge for him that he is eager to take on. Since he is currently between agencies, he has the freedom to directly choose which projects he wants to work on.” Kim Dongwan will be plunging into his first rock festival activities this summer for filming.
Kim Dongwan has been confirmed for ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch,’ a production that has been running in Korea for 10 years now. Starting mid-August, he hopes to display his superior acting skills in his role as a transgender rocker. After Shinhwa’s 16 year anniversary concert in March, Kim Dongwan left for a short language learning program in Canada. Kim Dongwan’s stage debut in ‘Hedwig’ in 2011 seems to have been fate. Since this year will be the 10th anniversary for the production, his decision to join the cast was confirmed.
Kim Dongwan has certainly racked up the acting experience in such titles as the MBC Independence Day special ‘The Peak,’ ‘Deranged,’ KBS’s ‘Cheer up, Mr Kim,’ the musical ‘Hedwig,’ ‘Le Passe-Muraille,’ etc. With the music ‘Hedwig’ and movie ‘Life is But a Dream,’ Kim Dongwan plans to stay busy.
