IU to Release Duet with ‘K-Pop Star’ Contestant Yoon Hyun Sang

Right on the heels of her surprise music festival announcement, it has just been announced that IU and “K-Pop Star” season 1 contestant Yoon Hyun Sang will be singing together.

IU announced earlier today through her official fan cafe that she would be releasing a duet with Yoon Hyun Sang in celebration of her 6-year debut anniversary.

After making it to the top 7 in the 2012 season of “K-Pop Star,” Yoon Hyun Sang signed with Loen Entertainment, the same agency as IU.

On her fan site, IU wrote, “It’s a song that I really love personally,” continuing, “To be honest, it was supposed to be Hyun Sang’s solo song, but I asked the agency if we could make it a duet. There were two other candidate songs, and I really wanted to do both, but decided it was a better idea to speed up the process and do one.”

IU hasn’t stated an official date for the release, but moonROK will have all the details as they are revealed, so stay tuned!
