As Produce 101 winners I.O.I‘s final days loom ever closer, anticipation rises for the group’s final round of promotions together.
Formed out of trainees from different entertainment companies we’ve known since the beginning that I.O.I would be a temporary group, but it hasn’t stopped the nation (or the world for that matter) from loving them.
Luckily for fans of the group, today brings good news: I.O.I’s final title single as group was reportedly written and produced by none other than Mr. JYP himself, J.Y. Park.
The 11-member group is said to be busy preparing for their comeback, aiming to drop their second and last album next month.
According to the Korean media, JYP is presenting I.O.I with a track he prepared some time ago as a gift to his own artist and center of the group, Jeon Somi and her groupmates who have worked hard and supported one another.
Park Jinyoung has quite the track record for producing hits for girl groups, having written songs like “Nobody” and “Tell Me” for Wonder Girls, “Bad Girl Good Girl” for miss A, and “Do It Again” for TWICE.
I.O.I is scheduled to disband in January of 2017 and return to their home agencies, so here’s to hoping that their remaining months are as awesome as the past few have been for the group.
