HIGHGRND Parodies Kanye West’s ‘The Life of Pablo’ with ‘The Life of Yang’

Today is April Fool’s Day in Korea, and the guys over at HIGHGRND are having a little fun at Kanye West and Yang Hyun Suk‘s expense.

The label tweeted out a photo today showing a parody of the cover for Kanye’s latest album “The Life of Pablo,” only instead of “Pablo,” the album is about YG Entertainment founder and CEO Yang Hyun Suk and is thus entitled, “The Life of Yang.”

In the tweet, HIGHGRND claims that it’s artists are taking part in Yang Hyun Suk’s first album in 18 years, and that it will be released on #TidalOnly.

The album cover shows both recent and throwback pictures of Yang Hyun Suk, and contains a tracklist with the following titles:

1. Indefinite Postponement (prod. by Code Kunst)

2. The Cool Butcher (ft. Hyukoh)

3. Oppa’s Car is a Maybach (ft. INCREDIVLE, Jinu Sean, Tablo)

4. I Don’t Trust Anyone But Myself (ft. American rapper YG)

5. My Hometown is Moon Night Inn (ft. The Black Skirts)

6. 6 Years of Training, Then Home (ft. G-DRAGON)

7. Who Are You? (ft. MILLIC, OFFONOFF, PUNCHNELLO)

8. Who’s Next?

Each track is a poke at YG (both the person and the company) for various things that have happened over the years, including the indefinite postponement of BIGBANG’s full “MADE” album, the continuous teasing of “Who’s Next?”, and more.

Kudos to the HIGHGRND team for having such a great sense of humor, and happy April Fool’s Day to all!
