Last week, we reported that CLC had suddenly entered Japan’s Oricon chart with their new mini album “Chamisma.”
This week, the group continues to climb the charts as CLC has just achieved their best result so far on Tower Records, placing 2nd on the weekly chart with “Chamisma.”
The group’s ability to secure high rankings on the chart amidst other senior Kpop artists just 5 months into their Japanese debut, is earning CLC interest in Japan.
Previously, the Cube girl group also landed at 9th place in Oricon Daily Chart, marking their first time ever after the addition of maknae and “Produce 101” contestant Kwon Eunbin to enter Oricon Top 10. Breaking their own records on from Oricon to Tower Records, CLC are gaining attention as the “Blue Ocean” of the Japanese Hallyu market.
The title song from their second mini album is called “Chamisma” (Charming + Smile), showcasing CLC’s refreshing charm with a bubbly cheerleader image. The song is an exciting dance track with melody full of energy and lyrics that show support for all types of love.
On a side note, CLC has finished their Japanese promotion for “Chamisma” and recently returned to Korea to prepare for their busy domestic schedules.
