AOA’s Seolhyun Confirmed for Vampire Role in ‘Orange Marmalade’

It has just been confirmed that AOA member Seolhyun has been cast for the new KBS2 mini-series “Orange Marmalade.”

“Orange Marmalade” is a romantic fantasy about a popular boy in school who helps to hide the identity of an female exchange student, who is actually a vampire.

Seolhyun will be playing the part of Baek Marie, the vampire who is attempting to hide her true identity in order to coexist with humans and avoid discrimination.

The AOA member has had extensive acting experience in the past as a cast member of the dramas “My Daughter Seoyoung” and “Ugly Alert,” as well as the film “Gangnam 1970,” and fans are looking forward to seeing a totally new side of her with this vampire role.

CNBLUE member Jonghyun will be playing the role opposite Seolhyun as the boy who helps to protect her identity.

On getting the role, Seolhyun stated, “Because my desire to do well is very big at first it was a bit burdensome, but after just looking at the script it looks like filming will be so much fun and I became very excited. I’m in the midst of trying very hard to become Marie, you can expect a lot of changes.”

“Orange Marmalade” will begin its broadcast in May 2015, so be sure to be on the lookout for Seolhyun and Jonghyun in the drama then.
